Chapter 1: Space Rage
The “space rage” has its origins in the 2020’s and even earlier, but according to most scholars officially began in the second half of the 21st century, with the remarkable achievements of the Hex dynasty defining the first chapter of a Solar Era that would last for centuries.
By 2070, the daring scientific missions that first carried humans to Earth’s neighboring celestial bodies had evolved into full-blown mining and manufacturing colonies, while several space stations had expanded to become orbital cities. Scientific breakthroughs and engineering advancements had reduced the time needed to cross the solar system into weeks or even days, allowing interplanetary commerce to flourish.
Apart from the numerous settlements on the Moon and Mars, humans have stepped foot on the large moons of Jupiter and Saturn, floated on the cloud tops of Venus and visited some of the largest asteroids in our system. Including the most precious of them all, the jewel in the solar crown, Psyche. A quintillion unit treasure that led to the rising of an empire, also playing an important role in its fall.
Following the parallel stories of the enigmatic Hex Space founding father and his successors, an epic narrative aims to question how humans perceive power, loyalty, courage and justice. Intelligence also, including the artificial and extraterrestrial forms it might take.
Hex Space architecture is prevalent across the solar system when it comes to hosting astronauts, scientists, miners, farmers and space tourists. Mercenaries and pirates, too.
